Alliance for Period Supplies of SWFL Receives $30,000 Grant from Collier Community Foundation to Expand Access to Menstrual Products
The Alliance for Period Supplies of SWFL is proud to announce it has received a $30,000 grant from the Collier Community Foundation. This generous funding will allow APS of SWFL to reach an estimated 483 additional women and girls in Collier County over the next year—providing them with consistent, monthly access to essential menstrual products.
In addition to expanding direct support, APS of SWFL will strengthen its infrastructure by hiring a part-time staff member to oversee product orders, coordinate with distribution partners, and improve logistics. This new position will help the organization deepen partnerships with schools and community agencies, enhance communication, and refine its ability to track distribution and measure impact.
“With this grant, we expect to improve school attendance, reduce absenteeism at work, and increase dignity and confidence among low-income women and girls,” said Dusti Beaubien, President and Founder of APS of SWFL. “Our data consistently show that when women and students have reliable access to menstrual supplies, they miss fewer days of school or work and experience improved mental well-being. We’re deeply grateful to the Collier Community Foundation for recognizing that period products are not optional—they are a basic need for health, dignity, and opportunity.”
