“I am so grateful for period supplies from the Alliance for Period Supplies of SWFL at both the Boys & Girls Club of Collier County and my high school. Their assistance reduces the amount of money my family needs to spend monthly. It also helps me feel prepared because I don’t always have the products with me and I don’t spend time stressing about being without, especially in the classroom.
Once I was stressed at school when I needed supplies, I didn’t have anything and neither did my friends. The school nurse had what I needed, and my friends now know they can get them too. I’m so grateful for the support APS provides!”

Period Poverty Creates Anxiety for 13-Year-Old
"I used to have so much anxiety about getting my period, that they had almost stopped completely. I was scared to bleed through during school and embarrass myself and ruin my pants at the same time. There were days I faked sick just to stay home because I could feel my period about to start. Having access to period supplies has really changed my life. I didn't know that your period shouldn't cause you that much stress."

“Immokalee Middle School would like to thank The Alliance for Period Supplies of SWFL for supplying the school with sanitary napkins for our female students. The school has many students who are happy to have sanitary napkins available because their parent/guardian are not always able to buy them for their home or forget to purchase them every month. Also, the start of periods happen unexpected and student does not have supplies. First period that have happened are often at school and do not know what to expect. The sanitary napkins available at school help female students feel comfort and secure that their needs are being met. “
