The Alliance for Period Supplies of Southwest Florida (APS of SWFL) is celebrating a generous $3,500 donation from The Isles of Collier Preserve Foundation. This contribution will stock local food banks with the period products needed to support 1,356 women and girls next month.

“When I spoke with The Isles of Collier, they were deeply moved by the scope of Period Poverty in our community,” said Dusti Beaubien, President of APS of SWFL. “Their generosity ensures that women and girls in Collie and Lee counties will have access to the essential period products they need.”

Period Poverty affects one in four women, often forcing them to miss work or school and sometimes resort to unsafe alternatives like rags, socks, or paper products. APS of SWFL is the region’s only nonprofit dedicated to providing consistent access to period products for women and girls in Collier and Lee counties. Since its founding in 2019, the organization has distributed over 9 million period products through a network of 38 partner agencies and more than 200 distribution locations.
