Shadow Wood Charitable Foundation Donates $60,000 to Help 1,980 Women and Girls Manage Periods with Dignity

The Alliance for Period Supplies of Southwest Florida (APS of SWFL) is thrilled to announce a $60,000 grant from the Shadow Wood Charitable Foundation—funds that will directly provide stress-free, dignified periods for 1,980 women and girls in Lee County.

Every dollar of this generous grant will go toward purchasing 570,240 period products, to be distributed at over 200 partner locations throughout the region. The support from Shadow Wood ensures that nearly two thousand individuals can attend school, go to work, and live with confidence—without worrying about how they’ll access this essential need.

“This is more than a donation—it’s a bold statement that women’s health matters,” said Dusti Beaubien, President and Founder of APS of SWFL. “We’re deeply grateful to the Shadow Wood Charitable Foundation for recognizing that period products are not optional—they are a basic need for health, dignity, and opportunity.”

The Shadow Wood Charitable Foundation, known for distributing over $1 million annually in grants and scholarships, has once again demonstrated its commitment to uplifting vulnerable neighbors across Southwest Florida.
